Located just off I-75, Weston is a little piece of planned paradise sitting on the edge of the Everglades. Built in the mid-90s, in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, Weston benefited from the migration north of many affluent residents of Miami-Dade County. Today, the town of about 66,000 people is beautifully maintained, with lovely homes and retails centers, and is home to a large affluent population from South America. It regularly lands on lists like “the “Biggest Earners” category (based on family income), the city with the largest job growth in Florida and 18th largest in the nation, one of the “best affordable suburbs” in the United States, the top 100 places to live in the United States and others. Weston is a planned community, and its emphasis has always been on families; more than 50% of its households have children under 18 in them. That carefully managed growth has made it a desirable place for both families and companies to relocate. Those companies include a campus of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.
