Jupiter is rich in history: Spaniards visited in the 16th century, its iconic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse has stood since 1860, and the area was home to fishermen and trappers in the early 20th century. Stretching to the Atlantic Ocean, Jupiter has a great climate and true small-town appeal with big city benefits. It is the spring training home to both the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals. Golf enthusiasts can tee up at more than 50 courses in and around Jupiter, such as Jupiter Dunes, Cypress Links, Jonathon’s Landing, Emerald Dunes Golf Club and the PGA National Resort. Beach-lovers and divers have plenty of places to play as well, including more than 30 artificial reefs in the area. With a population of almost 60,000, Jupiter is a great mid-sized town with lots to do but still a community feel, perfect for raising a family or retiring.
